How to add it

  1. Open it in SafariOpen byepaywall.com in Safari on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Tap ShareTap the Share button, the square with an arrow pointing up. Don’t see it? Tap ⋯ first.
  3. Choose Add to Home ScreenScroll down the menu and tap Add to Home Screen.
  4. Tap AddKeep the name byepaywall, or change it, then tap Add.
  5. Open it from your Home ScreenTap the byepaywall icon. It opens full screen, without Safari’s address bar.

Tip: copy an article’s link first, then open byepaywall from your Home Screen and tap Paste.

Android

Install byepaywall as an app. It then shows up in your Share menu, in Chrome and other apps.

  1. Open byepaywall.com in Chrome and tap Install the app. No button? Use Add to Home screen in Chrome’s menu.
  2. On any article, tap Share, then byepaywall.
  3. The app opens with the link filled in. Pick a service.

Shared links are handled on your phone, so they don’t reach our server.
